1.What were your most memorable moments at IIT? Could you describe any moments when you felt low at IIT and what you did to get back to normal?

I was a member of the dance club. When I was in my 5th Semester, I was appointed as the Choreographer at Dance Club IITD. This was a memorable feat for me. I felt low once when my Foreign exchange was cancelled and that time was a total mayhem for me. You can always release stress and come back to normal after interacting with your friends.

2. Do you have any regrets from your time in IIT?

The only regret I feel is that I did not make enough friends here at IIT . If I would have interacted with more people then I would have made more friends.

3. What changes did you notice in your personality before and after IIT? How have your extra-curricular activities and internships been instrumental in causing this change?

A change I noticed in my personality was that my comfort zone expanded and now I am open to a large array of possibilities and challenges . I also learn from every difficulty I face and improve upon my weaknesses. Extracurricular activities also helped me develop my personality as I interacted with a lot of people.

4. What words of advice would you give to your juniors- some things that they should do, some changes in the way of thinking, etc. Any specific advice for students of any particular year? What are some things that you would advise juniors not to do?

First of all you should develop interest in all the subjects you are studying as it is very important to manage academics. Further, you should interact with more and more people and make good friends. You should always use your time in a productive manner for self development.

5. What are some things that you would advise juniors not to do?

I would advise not to waste time watching TV series and movies . Instead of that you can play some outdoor sports or interact with friends.

6. What projects did you work on during IIT? Any favourite research stream? Did you find Electrical Engineering branch exciting? Any specific advice for your juniors in this branch?

The projects on which I worked upon are “Fuzzy Logic” and “Differential Ionmobility Spectrometer” . Before coming to IIT, I had no prior interest in Electrical Engineering but later when I studied the subject , I developed a interest in it gradually.

7.Have you been to any other IIT in these 4 years?

I have once been to IIT Kanpur for a sports meet. I also went to IIT Bombay and found that the hostels there are much better than here at IIT Delhi.

8. Have you found your passion? Many people face a dilemma over “what is that they would love to do in life”. How did your time at IIT help you realise your future goals and what is it that you want to do in life?

Yes, I will be working in a sector for a few years and focusing more on socializing and creating more friends. Moreover, I would also like to pay attention to my friends , family and my health later in my life.

9. Many students find it difficult to balance academics and extracurricular activities. How were you able to achieve this balance?

I think to maintain this balance we must attend classes and make notes in the lectures . If we pay attention in the classes then the half of the job is already done!

10. How did your goals change during your IIT journey? What steps do you suggest for people who are focused towards specific directions?

It helped me interact with a more brighter group of people from whom I can always learn something . I think if someone has a goal in his life then he/she must take every possible step to achieve that goal and not be afraid of failures. You should be aware about the pros and cons of all the steps you take in your life.
